You will be picked up from your hotel for a scenic 40–50 minute drive to a mangrove village. Upon arrival, take in the breathtaking views before embarking on a charming river cruise toward the mangrove forest. Relax and enjoy the ride as you explore the rich natural surroundings. Along the way, you may spot fascinating wildlife such as mudskippers, various bird species, saltwater crocodiles, and macaques.
The journey continues toward the South China Sea, where you’ll keep a lookout for the elusive Irrawaddy dolphin, also known as the snubfin dolphin. As we navigate through mangrove waterways and estuaries, observe the diverse ecosystem that thrives in this lush environment, including the iconic proboscis monkey, commonly found along mangrove fringes. You’ll also be treated to stunning views of Mount Santubong.
After this unforgettable exploration, we return to the jetty and begin the journey to Sarawak Cultural Village, concluding a morning filled with remarkable wildlife encounters and the natural wonders of Sarawak.
After arriving at cultural village, enjoy the culture show. Then we will have lunch either at the canteen or Damai Foodcourt. Afterwards, explore beautifully reconstructed traditional homes representing the Iban, Bidayuh, Orang Ulu, Melanau, Penan, Malay, and Chinese communities. Friendly village hosts dressed in traditional attire welcome visitors into their homes, where you can discover centuries-old customs through demonstrations of beadwork, weaving, bamboo craftsmanship, sago processing, traditional cooking, music, and blowpipe shooting.
Throughout the village, enjoy opportunities to interact with local artisans, sample traditional delicacies, and learn about the rich cultural diversity that makes Sarawak one of Southeast Asia’s most fascinating destinations.
