TOUR ITINERARY

The tour begins with a 9:00 am pickup from your hotel in Kuching, followed by a scenic 50–60 minute drive to the mountainous area of Padawan, located just outside the city. This lesser-known region is rich in natural beauty and home to an impressive limestone cave system rising approximately 150 feet high.
Before entering the cave, guests will enjoy a short nature hike through lush surroundings, offering a peaceful introduction to the adventure ahead. Equipped with torchlights, you will then make a short climb into the cave, which gradually opens into a vast main chamber. Here, natural sunlight streams in through openings above, illuminating spectacular limestone formations.
Inside the cave, marvel at the stunning and mysterious shapes created by nature over thousands of years, including a wide variety of stalactites and stalagmites. The cave stretches approximately 1.5 km in length and features seven major chambers, locally named Tortoise Cave, Broccoli Cave, Love Stone, Hanging Garden, Penis Stone, King Stone, and Sharp Stone, each with its own distinctive formations and character.
Accompanied by an experienced local guide, guests will walk through dark, tunnel-like passages inhabited by bats, spiders, snakes, and various insects. With careful observation using your torchlight, you may also spot bird nests tucked along the cave walls, sometimes even with eggs inside. The exploration exits the cave via a different route, rather than looping back the same way, adding variety to the experience.
After completing the cave adventure, guests may freshen up with a shower at the village rest house. A delicious local lunch will then be served in a village home, offering an authentic taste of traditional cuisine. Following lunch, the driver will transfer you back to your hotel in Kuching.
Please note that this cave is a newly discovered site and remains largely untouched, protected only by the local villagers. There are no established trails, and the terrain can be uneven and challenging. This tour is not recommended for beginners. Guests are kindly advised to confirm their fitness level with us before booking.
