Guest(s) will be picked up from the hotel at 7.45 am followed by a 40-minute drive to the beautiful Semenggoh Forest Reserve. This is a great opportunity to see semi-wild orangutans in their native environment. This orangutan rehabilitation center accepts orphaned or rescued orangutans and prepares them to live in the wild. Over 20 orangutans stay in the forest of the Semenggoh Forest Reserve, and they frequently return to the center for more feeding. Guest(s) may watch orangutans descend from the surrounding forests for the food offered and the feeding location is placed in a natural amphitheater. The rangers at Semenggoh Forest Reserve will brief guest(s) about the purpose of the center and its objectives. The guide will show any orangutan places visible from the trail upon guest(s) arrival. After the rangers’ briefing, guests will continue along a short trail across the forest to the feeding area. Usually, the orangutans have arrived on the platform. During the fruiting season, when there are lots of ripe fruits in the jungle, the orangutan may not answer the ranger’s calls or make a showing at all.

• There is no assurance that you will see the park’s animals because they are in the wild and free.
• Never feed an animal or engage with one. Allow them to run wild. They become accustomed to being fed, and if they don’t get anything, they may become hostile.
