TOUR ITINERARY

Duration : 8 Hours | Difficulty Level : Easy

Whether you arrive at Sandakan Airport (flight TBA hours) or from the Sandakan hotel lobby between 0815 and 0830 hours, enjoy smooth meet and transfer services. Visit the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre first thing in the morning to watch the feeding of orphaned orangutans and watch an educational film. At 1000 hours, morning feeding takes place.

Continue traveling to the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre after Sepilok. After that, climb to Puu Jih Shih, a Chinese temple on a hilltop that is well-known for its colorful interior and expansive vistas.

Before visiting St. Michael’s Church and the observation pavilion, which provides a panoramic view of Sandakan and the historic Agnes Keith House, enjoy a delicious lunch at a nearby restaurant. Proceed to the Central Market, a bustling center for social interaction and known for its fresh fish and regional produce. Lastly, visit the Sim-Sim Water Village, where you may see homes constructed above the water and inhabited by nearby tribes.

Finish the day with a drop-off at your Sandakan hotel or a transfer to Sandakan Airport (flight time TBD).
