TOUR ITINERARY
Duration 4-5 Hours | Difficulty Level : Easy
You will be picked up from your hotel for a scenic 40–50 minute drive to a mangrove village. Upon arrival, take in the breathtaking views before embarking on a charming river cruise toward the mangrove forest. Relax and enjoy the ride as you explore the rich natural surroundings. Along the way, you may spot fascinating wildlife such as mudskippers, various bird species, saltwater crocodiles, and macaques.
The journey continues toward the South China Sea, where you’ll keep a lookout for the elusive Irrawaddy dolphin, also known as the snubfin dolphin. As we navigate through mangrove waterways and estuaries, observe the diverse ecosystem that thrives in this lush environment, including the iconic proboscis monkey, commonly found along mangrove fringes.
You’ll also be treated to stunning views of Mount Santubong and a picturesque sunset from the cruise. If you choose the evening session, enjoy the sunset near Salak Village. As dusk falls, your guide will lead a search for the magical fireflies. Watch as clusters of fireflies illuminate the mangrove branches, creating a truly enchanting atmosphere. Keep an eye on the muddy riverbanks too, where crocodiles may occasionally appear, their eyes reflecting the beam of our flashlights.
After this unforgettable exploration, we return to the jetty and begin the journey back, concluding an evening filled with remarkable wildlife encounters and the natural wonders of Sarawak
The tour has 3 sessions: Morning, Mid-day & Evening.

TRIP NOTES:
- We do no guarantee any wildlife watching as they are in the wild.
- Travellers must comply with weather conditions and SFC’s regulations.
- Bring Mosquito repellant, Sun cream if you need.
- Carry a poncho and a full sleeve for night time.
- Guests are not allowed to touch river water while on boat.
- We do not take any responsibility in the event of animal attacks, self-injury etc.
- Children must be accompanied by guardian at the time of tour.

I was alone so the price was very high for a single traveler but i dont regret after the tour. Totally worth it! Best thing about the pvt tour was they followed my own time and pace. No sun and rain but still able to see dolphin, long nose monkey and crocodile. Luck! The boat ride was amazing and the nature was so beautiful while raining. Amazing experience!
