Description

TOUR ITINERARY

Duration 4-5 Hours | Difficulty Level : Moderate

The tour begins with an 8:00 am pickup from your hotel in Kuching, followed by a scenic one-hour drive to the limestone areas of Fairy Cave and Wind Cave. Surrounded by lush greenery, these caves offer a fascinating glimpse into Sarawak’s natural wonders.

Upon arrival at Fairy Cave, guests will enjoy the peaceful natural surroundings before entering the cave. Equipped with torchlights, begin a short climb into the cave, which gradually opens into a spacious main chamber. As sunlight streams through openings above, the interior is beautifully illuminated, revealing a variety of impressive limestone formations. Marvel at the mysterious shapes formed over thousands of years, including dramatic stalactites and stalagmites.

One of the cave’s most notable formations is the Goddess of Mercy, a limestone structure standing approximately three meters tall and resembling a woman dressed in classical Chinese attire, gazing compassionately downward. Another formation resembles an old man crouching, adding to the cave’s mythical atmosphere. After exploring the cave, enjoy lunch near the entrance and refresh yourself with fresh coconut water following the hike.

The journey then continues with a short 15-minute drive to Wind Cave. Here, guests will walk along a well-maintained wooden platform through the cave’s dark, tunnel-like interior. The cave is home to bats and swiftlets, and with careful observation using torchlights, you may spot bird nests hidden along the cave walls, sometimes even with eggs inside.

After completing the cave explorations, guests will return to Kuching and be dropped off at their hotel, concluding an enjoyable day discovering Sarawak’s underground natural beauty.
