Santubong Archaeological Park

You will be picked up at 8:00AM at your hotel in Kuching. Begin your journey at Santubong Archaeological Park, an important historical site that reveals evidence of early human settlement and trade dating back centuries. Learn about ancient iron-smelting activities, old trading routes, and archaeological discoveries that highlight Santubong’s role as a key trading hub in early Borneo history. Surrounded by lush greenery and peaceful landscapes, the park offers both educational insight and a relaxing start to the day.

Princess Beach & Damai Beach

Unwind at Pantai Puteri and Damai Beach, two of the most scenic coastal spots in the Santubong area. Enjoy the calming sea breeze, gentle waves, and panoramic views of Mount Santubong rising dramatically in the background. These beaches are perfect for relaxation, photography, or a leisurely stroll along the shore while taking in the natural beauty of the South China Sea.

Sarawak Cultural Village

Continue to the award-winning Sarawak Cultural Village, a living museum that showcases the diverse ethnic groups of Sarawak. There is a 45 minute cultural performance of songs & dances, a flurry of colours in a stunning multi-ethnic performance. Enjoy the cultural show at 11:30AM and followed by a lunch break at 12:15PM. After lunch, walk through authentic traditional houses representing major communities such as the Iban, Bidayuh, Orang Ulu, Melanau, and Malay. Interact with local cultural performers, observe traditional crafts, and gain deeper understanding of Sarawak’s heritage. The visit concludes with a vibrant cultural dance performance, featuring colorful costumes and traditional music.

At Sarawak Cultural Village, there are replica buildings representing every major ethnic group in Sarawak, mainly the Bidayuh, Iban, Orang Ulu, Penan, Melanau, Malay & Chinese. Take a walk through this remarkable living museum showcasing Sarawak’s cultures as well as beautiful & authentic traditional buildings. All buildings are staff with members of the ethnic groups in traditional costumes and carrying out traditional activities. Individual housekeeper act as storytellers who describe and interpret the way of life for each tribe. You can partake in daily activities such as learning how to throw a Malay spinning top, target practice with the blow hunting pipe of the Iban as well as how to make the famous sago flour in the Penan hut. There are daily multi-cultural dance performances in the village’s own theatre.

Buntal Fishing Village

End the day at Buntal Fishing Village, a charming coastal community known for its traditional fishing lifestyle and fresh seafood. Stroll through the village to observe daily life by the sea and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. For those interested, there is an opportunity to sample or purchase freshly caught seafood at local stalls, making it a delightful cultural and culinary experience before returning to Kuching.
