Day 1: Bako Wildlife & Permai Beach

You will be picked up at approximately 7:45 a.m. and transferred to Bako Jetty. The journey begins with a 30–40 minute drive to a riverside village, where you will board a small boat and travel upstream to reach Bako National Park Headquarters—one of the most adventurous and scenic approaches imaginable. As you near the park, you’ll be greeted by its dramatic rock formations, a striking introduction to this unique landscape.

Within Bako National Park, guests can experience an incredible diversity of wildlife thriving in a dynamic environment. From the ever-present long-tailed macaques to the elusive silver leaf monkeys and the iconic proboscis monkeys—with approximately 275 individuals inhabiting the area—these fascinating creatures are often seen swinging through trees or relaxing among the mangroves.

Other notable residents include the bearded wild boar, the park’s largest mammal, as well as shy silver leaf monkeys, which may respond defensively if they feel threatened. With a bit of luck, visitors may also spot flying squirrels, flying lemurs, otters, tarsiers, slow lorises, and a wide variety of resident and migratory bird species, all contributing to Bako’s rich biodiversity. An experienced park guide will lead you along the trails and help you look for the iconic green pit viper. The region’s abundant fauna, combined with lush jungle scenery and coastal views, reveals Bako’s true beauty at every turn.

After the hike, guests will return by boat to the jetty, where your driver will transfer you to Permai Rainforest Resort. Upon arrival, assistance will be provided for check-in to your designated accommodation, either a treehouse or jungle villa. The rest of the evening is free for you to relax—enjoy a refreshing shower in the jungle pool, unwind on the private beach, and take in a beautiful sunset.

Dinner will be served at Tree Café between 7:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. After dinner, enjoy leisure time at your own pace, whether exploring the rainforest or relaxing by the beach. An optional night walk is available at an additional cost; please contact us at least 48 hours in advance to arrange this activity.

Note: Last boat from Bako NP to terminal is at 3.00pm. If guests take the last boat, they will arrive at Permai around 4.00pm.

Day 2: Permai Rainforest & Back to Kuching City

Option 1: At 7.00am breakfast will be served at Tree-café. After breakfast guests can relax and at 9.00am we will transfer guests to Kuching city.

Option 2: At 7.00am breakfast will be served at Tree-café. After breakfast guests will relax and explore the rainforest.  There are few organised trails and guests can take a shorter trail to the waterfall. After the hike, guests can freshen up and check out by 11.00am. Our driver will be there and will drive you to Kuching City.

Remarks: You may also discuss with us if you have some travel plan for the day and we will arrange the timing accordingly.

• Please get ready before the pickup time. As it is a group tour, we request our guests to standby before our driver arrives.
