Day 1: Kuching – Lundu – Tanjung Datu National Park (L/D)

Guests will be picked up from their hotel and driven to Telok Melano Village. Along the way, there will be a stop at the coastal town of  Lundu for lunch. Take time to stroll around the local shops and small native market before continuing the journey.

After lunch, proceed directly to Telok Melano Village Jetty, where your boat will be waiting. A short boat ride will transfer you to the pristine beach of Tanjung Datu National Park. Upon arrival, our guide will assist with park registration and show you to your hut or designated camping area.

Spend the afternoon relaxing and enjoying the untouched beach and surrounding nature. In the evening, your guide will prepare and serve dinner. After dinner, enjoy a short guided jungle night walk, where you may have the opportunity to observe nocturnal wildlife.

Day 2: Jungle Trek & Beach Leisure (B/L/D)

Wake up early in the morning to experience the peaceful beauty of sunrise over the coastline, as soft light spreads across the beach and surrounding rainforest. Enjoy the calm atmosphere and the gentle sounds of nature before heading out for a short morning walk, allowing you to observe the rainforest as it comes alive with birdsong and early wildlife activity.

After breakfast, meet your guide and begin a guided jungle walk at Pasir Antu Laut, one of the park’s most scenic and ecologically rich areas. Before setting off, you will prepare your packed lunch, which you will carry with you for a picnic at the end of the trail. As you hike through the forest, your guide will share insights into the diverse flora and fauna of the rainforest, pointing out medicinal plants, towering trees, and signs of wildlife along the way. The trail offers an immersive experience, allowing you to fully appreciate the untouched natural environment and the sounds of the jungle.

Upon reaching the end of the trail, relax and enjoy your picnic lunch surrounded by nature, taking in the serene views and the refreshing coastal breeze. After lunch, you may take time to rest before returning at a leisurely pace. The afternoon and evening are free for relaxation, giving you the opportunity to swim, stroll along the beach, or simply unwind and enjoy the tranquil surroundings.

At night, if sea turtles come ashore to nest, your guide will notify you and escort you to observe this rare and unforgettable experience. Turtle watching will only take place after the turtles have begun laying their eggs, in accordance with strict conservation guidelines to minimize disturbance. Please note that turtle sightings are seasonal and cannot be guaranteed.

Day 3: Tanjung Datu – Telok Melano – Kuching (B/L)

After breakfast, enjoy free time at the beach or take a short hike (approximately 500 meters) to a nearby viewpoint offering stunning coastal panoramas. Along the trail, you may encounter Bornean bird species, macaques, and other wildlife that inhabit the area.

At around 10:00 a.m., you will return to Telok Melano Village. Upon arrival at the jetty, our driver will be waiting to receive you. You will then stop at a local restaurant for lunch before continuing the journey back to Kuching.

Alternatively, guests may choose to enjoy one final picnic within the national park, savoring lunch with breathtaking open sea views. Afterward, you will return to the jetty for the onward transfer. You will be dropped off at your Kuching city hotel at approximately 2:30 p.m., marking the end of the tour.

TRIP NOTES:

• We highly recommend that guest(s) leave their big luggage in Kuching and bring a smaller bag for the journey to Tanjung Datu.
• We do no guarantee any wildlife watching as they are in the wild.
• Travellers must comply with weather conditions and SFC’s regulations.
• Bring Mosquito repellant, Sun cream if you need.
• Carry a poncho and a full sleeve for night time.
• Please get ready before the pickup time. As it is a group tour, we request our guests to standby before our driver arrives.
• We do not take any responsibility in the event of animal attacks, leeches, self-injury etc.
• Children must be accompanied by guardian at all the time of the tour.
