TOUR ITINERARY

Duration 3 Days 2 Nights | Difficulty Level : Moderate

Day 1

Arrive at Kinabatangan Lodge at 3:30 PM, where you will be warmly welcomed with a short briefing before checking in. At 4:00 PM, enjoy a relaxing tea break, followed by assembling at the jetty at 4:20 PM for an afternoon river cruise lasting approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. This cruise offers your first opportunity to spot wildlife along the Kinabatangan River. Dinner is served at 7:00 PM, and the day concludes with an exciting night river cruise at 8:00 PM, providing a chance to observe nocturnal animals in their natural habitat.

Day 2

The day begins early at 6:00 AM with a morning river cruise lasting about 1 hour and 40 minutes, when wildlife activity is at its peak. After returning to the lodge, breakfast is served at 8:00 AM. At 9:30 AM, embark on a guided jungle walk for approximately 1.5 hours, offering close encounters with the rainforest’s flora and fauna. Lunch is served at 12:30 PM. In the afternoon at 2:30 PM, visit the gallery of “The Orang Sungai” to learn about the river people’s culture, daily life, and traditional crafts. At 4:00 PM, continue to Gomantong Cave, where, weather permitting, you may witness the spectacular bat exodus at dusk. Dinner is served at 7:00 PM, followed by a guided night walk and insect observation at 8:00 PM, lasting about 1 to 1.5 hours.

Day 3

On the final day, guests may choose to join an optional morning river cruise at 6:00 AM, subject to availability, for an additional fee of RM65.00 per person. Breakfast is served at 8:00 AM, and after checking out at 9:00 AM, guests will be transferred to Sandakan or the Kinabatangan main town, marking the end of the program.
