TOUR ITINERARY
Duration 4 DAYS 3 NIGHT | Difficulty Level : Advanced
Day 1 – Arrival & Majestic Caves Exploration (D)
Arrive at Mulu Airport, where you will be warmly welcomed and transferred to the Mulu Marriott Resort or Park Headquarters for check-in.
In the afternoon, begin your journey along a scenic 3 km raised plank walk through lush rainforest to explore the impressive Deer Cave, home to millions of bats and one of the largest cave passages in the world. Continue to the nearby Lang Cave, admired for its intricate limestone formations and stunning stalactites.
As evening approaches, gather at the bat observatory to witness the spectacular bat exodus—an awe-inspiring natural phenomenon where thousands of bats spiral into the sky in search of food (weather permitting). Return to the park for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2 – River Safari & Journey to Camp 5 (B,L,D)
After breakfast, embark on a longboat journey along winding jungle rivers to Batu Bungan, a traditional Penan settlement where you can gain insight into the indigenous lifestyle and browse handmade crafts.
Continue by boat to explore the cool passages of Wind Cave and the remarkable Clearwater Cave, one of the longest cave systems in the world. Enjoy a relaxing picnic lunch by the crystal-clear spring waters.
In the afternoon, travel onward to Long Litut before beginning a guided 3-hour jungle trek through pristine rainforest to reach Camp 5. Dinner and overnight at the camp.
Day 3 – The Pinnacles of Gunung Api (B,L,D)
After an early breakfast, set out on the highlight of your adventure—the ascent to the breathtaking Gunung Api Pinnacles.
This challenging trek takes you through dense jungle terrain, steep inclines, and rugged limestone formations. Along the way, discover unique flora and fauna found only in Borneo’s untouched rainforest.
Upon reaching the viewpoint, be rewarded with a dramatic panorama of razor-sharp limestone spires rising from the forest floor—one of the most iconic landscapes in Malaysia. Enjoy a packed lunch at the summit before descending back to Camp 5.
Dinner and overnight at Camp 5.
Day 4 – Return & Departure (B,L)
After breakfast, trek back to Long Litut and continue by boat to Clearwater for a final relaxing stop. Enjoy a picnic lunch and take a refreshing swim in the clear spring waters.
Later, transfer to the airport for your onward journey, bringing home unforgettable memories of Borneo’s wild beauty.
