TOUR ITINERARY

Duration 3 Days 2 Nights | Difficulty Level : Moderate

Day 1: Sepilok Nature & Wildlife

Morning between 8:00am-9:00am, we will pick you up from your hotel in Sandakan or meet directly at Sandakan Airport. Proceed to the world-renowned Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre to witness the morning feeding session and observe these incredible primates in their natural forest habitat. Established in 1964, the centre rehabilitates orphaned and displaced orangutans affected by logging and land clearing.

Continue your visit to the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre, home to the world’s smallest bear species. Observe rescued sun bears roaming, climbing, and playing in open-air forest enclosures while learning about ongoing conservation and rehabilitation efforts.

Afterward, transfer to Borneo Sepilok Rainforest Resort for lunch and check-in. Enjoy free leisure time to relax and appreciate the lush rainforest surroundings.

In the afternoon, depart for the Rainforest Discovery Centre (RDC), one of Sabah’s top bird-watching hotspots. Explore forest trails and walk the 150-metre-long canopy walkway, elevated 28 metres above ground, offering spectacular views of the rainforest.
Return to the resort and overnight.

Day 2: Kinabatangan River

Enjoy breakfast at the resort with serene views of the surrounding rainforest.
At 12:45 PM, depart for Sukau, located along the wildlife-rich Kinabatangan River.

Upon arrival, enjoy a welcome drink and a short briefing about the area, safety guidelines, and resort facilities. Check into your room.

At 4:00 PM, embark on a river safari cruise in search of iconic Bornean wildlife such as:

• Proboscis monkeys

• Orangutans

• Long-tailed & pig-tailed macaques

• Pygmy elephants (occasionally spotted)

• Various birds and other wildlife

Return to the resort for dinner. Then join for a night adventure. Either a Night Cruise or a Jungle Walk (Please contact us to confirm your preferred option upon booking). Once the activity is done, you will be back to lodge and enjoy your free time.

Day 3: River Adventure & Return

Rise early for a sunrise river cruise to spot more wildlife and birdlife during the most active hours of the day. Return to the resort for breakfast before checking out.

Depart for Sandakan and we will drop you off at your hotel or Sandakan Airport for your onward flight around noon time.

📌  If you have a flight afterwards, we recommend you to get anytime after 2PM as the estimated time to arrive at Sandakan or Airport will be around 11:30AM-12:00PM.
