Day 1: Arrival & Introduction to Bario (L/D)

• Arrive at Bario Airport and be warmly welcomed before transferring to The Ngimat Ayu House homestay.

• Enjoy a homely lunch while receiving a short orientation about your journey through the Kelabit Highlands.

• Explore the Bario Salt Spring and witness the traditional method of producing mountain salt from natural salt licks—a practice preserved for generations.

• Take a scenic drive through Bario Valley, passing traditional Kelabit longhouses and the lush paddy fields that produce the world-renowned Bario Rice.

• Return to the homestay for leisure, enjoy a delicious local dinner, and rest in the cool, refreshing highland air.

Day 2: Culture, Heritage & Highlands Adventure (B/L/D)

• Begin your day with a light breakfast and transfer to Arur Dalan Village, the starting point for a hike up Prayer Mountain (1,137 ft). Watch the sun rise over the rolling hills and valleys of Bario.

• Return to the homestay for a hearty breakfast.

• Take a 4WD transfer to Pekan Bario to visit the Bario Community Museum, which showcases the rich culture, history, and heritage of the Kelabit people.

• Journey to Pa’ Lungan Village, near the Malaysian–Indonesian border, and explore ancient megaliths, including Batu Ritung and Perupun Rayeh, significant archaeological landmarks.

• Enjoy a simple, traditional lunch at a local homestay.

• Continue to Pa’ Ukat Village to visit the Mazinah Craft House, and Tom’s Vegetable & Grape Farm, with a seasonal stop at a pineapple farm for the chance to pluck your own fruit.

• Return to The Ngimat Ayu House for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay amidst the serene highland atmosphere.

Day 3: Departure (B)

• After breakfast, enjoy free time to take in the stunning highland views before departing for your onward journey.
