TOUR ITINERARY
Duration 6-7 Hours | Difficulty Level : Easy
Guest(s) will be picked up from the hotel between 7.30-8.00 am followed by a scenic 40-minute drive to the beautiful Semenggoh Forest Reserve. This is a great opportunity to see semi-wild orangutans in their native environment. This orangutan rehabilitation center accepts orphaned or rescued orangutans and prepares them to live in the wild. Over 20 orangutans stay in the forest of the Semenggoh Forest Reserve, and they frequently return to the center for more feeding. Guest(s) may watch orangutans descend from the surrounding forests for the food offered and the feeding location is placed in a natural amphitheater. The rangers at Semenggoh Forest Reserve will brief guest(s) about the purpose of the center and its objectives. The guide will show any orangutan places visible from the trail upon guest(s) arrival.
Once the Orangutan tour is over, our guest(s) will enjoy another 40 minutes scenery drive to the Annah Rais Bidayuh Longhouse with the beauty of Sarawak along the way. When guest(s) arrive at the Annah Rais Longhouse, they will be welcomed with the village traditional drink called Tuak. There are over 80 families at there. Then, guest(s) will explore this Bidayuh Village and learn about the culture of Land Dayaks, who were once headhunters, together with our guide. Next, guest(s) will discover the longhouse’s unique cultural and architectural features including describes the Bidayuh community’s traditional farming lifestyle, including its rare use of bamboo. Guest(s) also will proceed with the freshly cooked bamboo chicken called ‘Ayam Pansuh’ and wild jungle vegetables on the Sanju (patio) of the longhouse. This is a delightful Sarawak’s Ethnic Lunch by the locals.

PICKUP LOCATION:
All our tours start from our office location. However, we offer a pickup service from selected points/hotels around the city center. If your location is not around the waterfront area, you may request for a special pickup service and it is subject to availability. Please email/WhatsApp to us for this inquiry.
